Xer Technologies presents new X12 multicopter UAS at Euronaval 2026

X12 platform targets naval and overland operations with over seven hours of flight endurance, a 30 kg payload capacity and dual-fuel capability

Dietikon, Switzerland – 3 November 2026
Xer Technologies AG, a manufacturer of long-endurance hybrid-electric unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), today announces the launch of its maritime environment optimized X12 platform at Euronaval 2026 in Paris. Designed for demanding defence and maritime operations, the X12 combines flight endurance times that exceed seven hours*, a payload capacity of up to 30 kg and dual-fuel capability.

Expanding Operational Capabilities
Designed as a versatile multi-mission platform, the X12 supports applications within a 200 km radius for surveillance missions that utilize advanced payload combinations including maritime radars, EO/IR cameras and electronic warfare sensors such as directional finders. The X12 acts as an extended antenna that operates at altitudes up to 4 km. Xer Technologies is also validating the X12’s capabilities as an airborne mothership for deploying smaller drones and supporting Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) operations. The X12 has also demonstrated its capabilities in military resupply operations.

Heavy-Fuel Capability for Maritime Operations
The X12’s hybrid propulsion system can operate on heavy and regular fuel types without hardware modifications, simplifying logistics and supporting integration into naval operations. Its multicopter configuration enables deployment from confined spaces, including vessel decks.

CEO Statement
Erik Herlyn, CEO of Xer Technologies AG, commented:
“The X12 represents the growing demand for greater endurance, payload capacity and operational flexibility. By combining VTOL capabilities with a dual-fuel engine and a compact logistical footprint, we are introducing a platform suited to missions that were so far limited to larger helicopter or fix-wing configurations.”

X12 Makes Its Public Debut at Euronaval 2026
Visitors to Euronaval 2026 can discover the X12 alongside the established X8 PRO and a selection of mission-specific payloads, showcasing Xer Technologies’ expanding capabilities in maritime surveillance, mine countermeasures and defence operations.
*The X12’s stated performance figures are development targets and remain subject to final flight validation.
