Xer Technologies Integrates Pergam-Suisse FALCON Plus Methane Sensor with X8 PRO Drone Platform

July 27, 2026

Xer Technologies AG (Xer Tech Holding AB, Spotlight: XER) and Pergam-Suisse AG have integrated the FALCON Plus infrared laser methane sensor with the Xer X8 PRO UAV platform. Gas network operators and major oil and gas companies can now survey entire infrastructure corridors for methane leaks using a single drone at an altitude of 100 meters, with full EU Methane Regulation (EUMR) Type 2 LDAR compliance.

Xer X8 PRO equipped with FALCON Plus open-path laser sensor.

The FALCON Plus open-path laser sensor accurately detects and quantifies methane leaks in parts per million (ppm). Combined with the X8 PRO’s maximum 3.5-hour hybrid-electric flight endurance, operators can inspect extensive network corridors in a single flight. BVLOS approvals, advanced redundancy features, and repeatable automated missions meet the required reliability standards of infrastructure operators. GPS-synchronized emissions maps are generated in the field and are immediately available for regulatory evaluation.

Pergam’s 20-year helicopter LDAR sensor heritage is now available as a 570-gram drone payload. The cost differential between traditional and long-endurance unmanned LDAR is material at the program level. EUMR first-cycle obligations are already active. Operators establishing compliant aerial survey programs are invited to contact Xer Technologies directly.

“The European methane inspection market is undergoing a structural transformation. Regulatory requirements are turning a previously discretionary activity into a legal obligation, with compliance deadlines measured in months rather than years. Operators using conventional survey methods often pay up to ten times more than necessary. The X8 PRO, paired with Pergam’s FALCON Plus sensor, delivers an operational, EUMR-compliant solution available today and supported by more than two decades of Pergam’s field-proven sensor deployment experience.”— Erik Herlyn, CEO, Xer Technologies AG

“Our traditional sensor programs have set the benchmark for LDAR measurement accuracy across Europe. The X8 PRO introduces a platform that delivers the operational range and endurance these programs demand, while reducing deployment costs enough to make quarterly surveys economically viable for operators who currently survey only once per year. The sensing physics haven’t changed. The economics are transformed.”— Semen Neverov, CTO, Pergam-Suisse AG
